Report

* We have received reports that bulk carrier, MAJESTIC SKY, grounded whilst manoeuvring to depart from the San Lorenzo anchorage, on the Parana River, Argentina on 24 September 2020, possibly as a consequence of continuing low water levels on the Parana River.

* It is reported that the vessel's forepeak ballast tank was breached and the vessel experienced an ingress of water to the ballast tank as a result of the grounding.

* We understand that the vessel currently remains stationary off San Lorenzo.

* MAJESTIC SKY is said to have been loaded with 42,000 tons of soy meal, bound for Las Palmas, Canary Islands at the time of the grounding.

* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
