* We have received reports that containership MSC CLORINDA (IMO: 9484429) experienced an engine failure whilst in a position off the northern coast of Tenes, Algeria on 02 October 2026.
* It is reported that the crew were unable to effect repairs. Consequently, a tug was appointed to take the vessel under tow towards Nador, Morocco, with an ETA of 06 October 2026 for inspection, and possibly, repairs.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
