ISO 27001 Certification

W K Webster achieves ISO 27001 Certification

W K Webster is delighted to publicise its ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, recognising its on-going commitment to providing the highest level of information security management. Following an extensive assessment process, the certification was issued by the British Standards Institution (BSI), a UKAS and ANAB Accredited Certification Body.

Developed by the International Organization for Standardization, ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is a globally recognised standard which specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS) within an organisation. By implementing and following the necessary steps to comply with this standard, organisations can identify, control, and eliminate security risks, ultimately certifying the security practices adopted within their organisation.

“We are trusted by our clients, colleagues and partners to handle their most valuable data and they quite correctly demand the highest level of data security in accordance with industry best standards and practices. In achieving the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, W K Webster has shown its commitment to the highest levels of security, and demonstrated that it has all the necessary controls in place to ensure that this strict standard is met by its technology, people and processes,” said Alan Munro, CIO of W K Webster.

W K Webster CEO, Anthony Smith, echoed Alan’s statement with the following: “Our commitment to maintaining ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification forms part of our long-term vision to deliver the best security practices of any service provider in the marine and transportation claims industry. We are rightfully very proud of this achievement and hope that our current and future clients recognise that W K Webster is fully committed to delivering information security at a level unsurpassed by our competitors.”
