* We have received reports that general cargo vessel, AMURBORG, experienced a main engine failure in position approximately 46 nautical miles east-northeast of Gaspe, Quebec on 24 August 2020.

* It is reported that the vessel was on a laden voyage from Santos, Brazil to Trois-Rivieres, Canada at the time of the breakdown.

* Shipowners intentions are currently unknown but it is possible that salvage services may be required to be provided to the vessel.

* If salvage services are rendered to the vessel under LOF terms, Salvage Security may be demanded from a source in the UK and W K Webster may be able to assist. Security provided by WKW is acceptable to the Council of Lloyds and widely preferred by professional Salvors.

* Alternatively, it is possible that General Average and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty and we are also likely to be able to assist in that regard.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
