Report

------------------UPDATE-------------------

* It is reported that fully cellular container vessel, MONTPELLIER, is now required to remain under quarantine for a further period of time at Durban outer anchorage after a third crew member tested positive for COVID-19.

* This is likely to result in further delay to the prosecution of the voyage and cargo operations with the increased risk that perishable or time sensitive cargoes will suffer damage, or that end-use requirements will be impacted or contractual commitments missed.

* We recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo currently on this vessel so affected so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.

------------------ORIGINAL-----------------

We have received the following news report:

* MONTPELLIER has been detained at Durban anchorage for 14 days after two crew members tested positive for COVID-19 upon the vessel's arrival at Durban on 17 May 2020.

* Whilst there are no reports of any loss of electrical power to temperature-controlled containers, deterioration may occur to temperature / time sensitive cargo and claims for consequential damages could arise as a result of any delay in handling any cargo subject to contractually-agreed delivery or shipment dates.

* We recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo so affected so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
