* It is reported that chemical tanker, DAVIDE B., was boarded by 9 armed perpetrators in a position approximately 210 nautical miles south of Cotonou, Benin on 11 March 2021.

* Ship managers advise that 15 crew members were abducted by the perpetrators, whilst the remaining 6 crew members were able to secure themselves in the ship's citadel.

* We understand that local security personnel are now attending the vessel.

* It is possible that General Average issues may arise as a result of this incident.
