VAFAA M

* We have received reports that bulk carrier VAFAA M experienced an engine failure whilst navigating in a position north east of Algiers on 18 February 2023.

* It is reported that repairs could not be carried out by the crew. Consequently, the vessel was later taken under tow by a sister ship towards Sousse.

* It is possible that General Average/Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
